REFELCTION CLUB - Still Thick as a Brick - Part 4: Rellington Town (6:17)

lyrics

Part 4: RellingtonTown

Down by the seashore, close to the river lies a small village, a place lost in reverie. The most exciting already forgotten. No newest tip in the paper, magazines or on TV.

And the sun is reflected by the sea. Time has come for a psychedelic tea. And the sun’s shining down, shining down over me. Rellington Town.

Painters, musicians, artists and actors, they bring new life and new style by and by into town. Unusual fashion, artisan craft-shops colour the streets with life and tantalising sounds.

Best time for creating a hippie hype and take part in exciting sub-culture life. And this life’s shining down, shining down over me. Rellington Town.

Tender moves, whispered words. Sufficient courage for a shy flirt. Long have I waited for this moment in time, lost in romantic daydreams. The coward’s fate
softly flows into a real-life dream.

Our lips touch softly and wet. My hand strokes gently over her head. Marvellous feelings overwhelm me, an ocean of sensual waves. Hovering besotted between nights and days.

Then other players wearing gold watches answer the call in big numbers and quickly enter the stage. A simple collection of critical poems covered by dust long ago beside a yellowed page.

Best time for students of business science to fish for careers in the big economy hype. And the sun’s going down, going down over me.
Rellington Town – time to go now.
Rellington Town – time to catch up.
Rellington Town – time for a change.
