REFELCTION CLUB - Still Thick as a Brick - Part 2: Time out

lyrics

Part 2: Time out

I think it’s time to take a break, to take a time out. Looking at the passing years and the precious time that remains. Really don’t mind if it’s my turn to sit
this one out. The substitute throws the ball and he hits the goal again.

Remembering all the former teams and all the visions, how they gleamed. Cracks in the mirror, I’m not sure what I see. The good advice by everyone of working life and business fun sounds so far away, better look across the sea.

The high-tech drive of virtual life grows on commercial ground. Cheap promises of endless fun, but so costly to pay. The world behind still true and wide, still new, lost and found. Manifold impressions, brand new every day.

Remembering all the former dreams and all the visions, how they gleamed. Looking in the mirror, that’s completely unlike me. Turn off my smartphone and go out. The secret whisper is much too loud. Closing all auspicious doors with an old golden key.

Life at a dash, the loud whip lash lead into the arena of questionable fame. The beasts of prey are hungry every day. The influential lions are difficult to tame.
